How do you get good looking spheres in DotA 2 without making the tri count insanely high? I imagine theres a magic number+normal mapping that can produce good results.
one questen: is it possible to change the ratio to more than 1:2? because in games like dota you need textures with 128x512 px thats a ratio 1:4 is that a thing that will be added? :)
I think valve is doing it manually just add spring 2014 in the description somewhere but I guess that means your item has at least been seen and checked by one of the dota artists
This is the normal map setting i use for xnormal. (ignore file path, 512x512 is clinkz bow, but 2x resolution, dota shrinks it) You might have the ambient occlusion on (ticked)? If so, untick it.

Hi guys. First time attempt to do a DOTA set. I'm still figuring out how to upload model with the rig and test in game. The whole shader system kinda complicated. Any suggestion to tuts? Thanks :)
WIPs for some characters Im working on. Brink Fanart, Dwarf inspired by LOTR and Dungeons and Dragons, and some work on SNIPER for the DOTA 2 Workshop. Looking forward to criques. The Brink character and the Dwarf will be rendered in UE4.
