I usually looks for cylinders first (the circular portion of them), since those shapes are very rarely going to be squashed or stretched into ovals. Get all those circles down and then it becomes easier to compare the rest of the shapes and sizes to them. The examples have quite a few different cylindrical shapes…
Looks pretty good work to me. I would change a bit the head material to look something more metallic and make the decals bigger so that they match better the movie bb8. You can paint the circles of the body too like in the picture below. As for the dirt is up to you if you want to add it or not.
i know you prolly don't wanna go back to the model part and wanna continue with the texture, but seems that your normals are a bit wobbly and bubbly. Circled some areas I thought that could use some work. Maybe try giving your low poly mesh some more love.
Nice colors, I like the mountain range you did. I don't know if it is just my eyes playing tricks on me, but the metal cylinder closest to the camera in the first shot looks a little stretched. The bolts look more like ovals than circles. Could just be my eyes though!
[ QUOTE ] so what about the plane that crashed in the field? The government made at farmers growing corn? [/ QUOTE ] dekard this was aready cleared up at the end of page two by vig. No need to go around in circles. It would appear that plane was shot down, but it's kinda embarassing for the gov to admit it. There's no…

Hey guys, I'm getting jagged edges in Maya's high quality viewport. I was wondering if there's a way to fix all that blotchiness (white and black specks, as well as the stepped edges that I circled). I'm pretty sure my PC will be able to handle higher quality viewport rendering. It's not a hugely important thing; just if…
Is it possible to make sure the my mouse cursor is at the center of marking menu when I hold right mouse button? ie. at the red circle, not at the yellow ellipse. Maya doesn't seem to be smart enough to reposition its dropdown menu based on my mouse position (eg. when my cursor is close to edge of screen)?

Hello folks. I looked for a small project to train topology. Unfortunately, I had to realize that I probably still have a lot of deficits in this area. I've already watched around three hours of tutorials on YT but simply couldn't find a way to solve this problem. As you can see from the red circles, there are problems…
