Yuck, just yuck. Sorry for being frank here. If you're a graphic designer it makes sense to showcase your solid design skills. Everyone else should just stay well away. We have some good advice about resumes here http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Game_Industry#Resumes

Hey Everyone I wanted to showcase my latest creation for a video game called Ember Vein, is a reverse L4D where you play as the zombie. Anyways, you are here for the art. The video at the bottom is a small breakdown I did of the character. Let me know your thoughts https://youtu.be/h-3ivbffUXk
I'm relatively new to animation projects and was hoping to get some advice on the best way to break a job down into billing milestones. The video will be about 45 seconds long and is showcasing a piece of furniture. What milestones would you bill the client at? Any other advice you have is appreciated as well Thanks
I didn't see this posted so I thought I'd shout out that the Unearthly challenge done by pixelgoat and tor frick (http://www.pixelgoat.se/viewImage.php?id=110) was showcased in the Exhibition section of the March 09 3d World Magazine. Congrats!!! its cool to see fellow polycounters pop off the pages of the magazine.
Hello I have got a domain name and I uploaded some stuff and I am in the process of building a portfolio website , what do you think of this ? www.n-a-i-m-a.com The idea is not only to have a showcase for my stuff , but mostly to have a blog , a secondary blog for secondary project and some other little stuff ....
I will probably have to split it in some more topics later but the Idea is to make a few illustrations showcasing Leona, Diana and Taliyah as the three "lost" guardias from Ahri's previous team. It will also complete the idea of a little piece of story I will be posting on the narrative thread.
Hi all, I've finished my models now and created a video for them. I really wanted to convey a sense of nostalgia in the showcase video for the models. Something a little melancholic perhaps. Audio must be on to enjoy this fully! Music by Eluukkanen on Youtube, used with permission.…
A little something I've been working on... a take on Gon Freecss from Hunter x Hunter! Just blocking in hair for now before I refine it in Maya/3D Coat. And another model I've finished the high poly of, which I've been keeping up to date over in the showcase forums:
This is looking insanely lovely. Following it has been great. I really like how you've showcased your foliage and the breakdown. When modeling do you just use a lot of FFD movement to get the waviness and organic shapes? How do you approach texturing? Altogether, stunning work :)
