Hello! I have a question; I would like to know what people who have been in the industry much longer than I have think about this workflow. I've seen a lot of people on the internet using the following method; they usually create the entire level in 3D modeling software and then import everything as a single mesh into the…
Hi captn, yes this is an old head model, a riff on one I did for anatomy practice (see my anatomy practice thread), but I've never used it on any real time model or anything else I posted here. The body is from scratch.
Thanks. Yeah the sculpt was for practice mainly. Just want to become better at everything involved. As for base meshes I have made a few that have decent geometry and edge flow, I lack more when it comes to sculpting so that's what I'm practicing.
Today I did not practice so much as I did a painting over the few studies I did. And also, I will not be able to do any studies or practices tomorrow as my gfs birthday is tomorrow. Day 18: 2d Studies: And the painting of today:

your textures aren't that bad man. Just keep practicing everyday. Im never in love with own work but Ill just keep practicing. Also have you tried using a wacom. I only asked because it helps alot with the 2D stuff.
Good start, cheap, I can see grrg's influences. keep looking that way and you'll be fine. Also, you may want to do a few practice hands, heads and legs before the final as I notice you get a lot of torso practice.
Hello everyone! Help me please ) This is a Likeness practice. I need feedback. He is look like likeness or not? ))) I started this sculpt with sphere. Likeness practice from Vyacheslav Butusov. He is a russian singer and songwriter. He is the lead singer of Nautilus Pompilius and U-Piter.
So - how does the megacursor feel so far ? Do you feel like it effectively helps when working ? (the gif makes it look very useful and practical already but I wonder how it felt for you in practice) Can't wait to try it !
I only keep final textures, all those psd add up and take a lot of space. All the sketches and practice stuff I keep in a practice folder, I usually only keep a jpeg image of it, takes up less space.
