Hand Painted Textures - Mini Environment

FlipFlop Car Paint
Hi everyone, I want to create a flip flop like car paint shader and what I have done by now was just using a lerp with a fresnel node as the mask to blend between two colours. But somehow it looks that the blend colour is visible where a lot of light is hitting the geometry and the fresnel is more dependent on the lighting… -

Marmoset baker resets the paint offset
I was wondering if this is working as usual or an issue on my end. Every time I reload my baking scene my paint offset for the cage is reset and I have to redo it. I haven't changed the low poly model just updated the high poly which gets reimported with the quick loader. -
Vertex Paint selections 3dsmax
Is there a way to pass selections up the stack to the vertex paint modifier? I really need to be able to select rings, loops, open edges etc. Seems like the modifier is extremely limited in this respect unless I'm missing something obvious. Alternatively anyone know of way to do this in maxscript or if any scritps already… -
