Damn, this scene just gets better and better. That dude chillin' in the bathtub rocks, it'd be cool if you duplicated him in the bath with his back to the camera to the right side of him. Also the dude on the right could be ass naked showing these guys just don't give a f*ck. Really amazing work. -

99% of the time I use a Fuji X100. It's a 1.5x crop APS-C sensor with a 23mm f/2 lens, which functions essentially like a 35mm lens. When I do need to change up lenses, I have a 5D Mark I, which has a full frame sensor. -

I followed the info from this thread at crydev: http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=326&t=72419 It is mostly the shadow settings in cryengine that need tweaking, I suppose very high spec takes care for the rest. And also, there were no lod-s for the meshes :) works well for custom vegetation.. -

Animated GIF freeware?
Can anyone recommend a freeware GIF animator? I need to convert some strange-size AVIs into animated GIFs, like 600x100, but none of the freebies I've seen work worth a damn. I've tried Animator9 (crashed), CoffeeCup (f#ckin watermark), Advanced Gif Anim (same), Longtion GIF Anim (same), Photobie (10000 steps). -

looks good - like colour pass a lot!! on the hollow log - i'd work on gloss a bit more - i'd probably loose it almost completely - bark like this is fairly porous and hence wouldn't be glossy as much even when wet, but then you can leave some gloss on the exposed wood cheers f. -
Re: switching from maya to max
Not that I know of, you can zoom the same way as Maya with switcher (no alternative afaik). There is a zoom tool that you can hotkey, but its not as intuitive as using switcher or the mouse wheel. I have all the sub selection modes hotkeyed exactly the same for all 3d apps (A, S, D, F, G).
