Why do people get hung up on the car? It's not like it's the first time we see 300+ year old vehicles in Star Trek. Lots of characters in this franchise have a fascination with the past (like Tom Paris in Voyager with his big hobby being just that, 20th century cars).

I worked on it, all the animations are from games apart from the first shot (the dialogue piece) and the guy with no arms jumping from pole to pole The dialogue piece was for the 11secondclub monthly competition, I got an 18th place which is kinda sucky but I liked the piece anyway :)
they all look like rocket launchers to me, or some early 19th century bullet trains. And I agree with imperator_dk - get rid of the squares and little diagonal hatching - it destroys the flow and looks random. Instead try to support the overall shape with details (aerodynamics, flow, nature,...)
