Hey Mike, must the final submission be 1920 x 1080 horizontal? I'm creating a character and I would like to do a vertical composition (1080x1920) but I don't know if it's against the rules. Thanks!
I'd recommend telling allegorithmic directly tbh. As said they have been pretty good with responding to reports I've made in the past. What GPU are you using? I ask because even a 1080 is borderline at 4k
Yeah it will be a little low res in the viewport, when you export out a rendered image it super-samples and improves the quality though. If you export crazy big like 3840x2160 and then resize to 1080 it looks better as well.

I personally never torture my brain with such a dilemma and hardly ever do metallic channel 100% white. Who cares if it's physically correct or not .
