I just love this. It's everything I love about gameart in terms of being bright, bold and cute. All the forms are nice and rigid clear and the colours match it well, but im a sucker for those communist red colour schemes.
This has to be it, guys. I think removing shading is the key judging from those examples, good job Pior & Muzz. Subtractive art instead of additive. We need to stop thinking so 'western' about our gameart ^ _ ^
Hey! Calling this one done :) Stylized wooden planks Substance Designer material. Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3. 2048 x 2048 textures. > Check out the Polycount thread < > Check it out on my Artstation < #gameart #MadeWithSubstance #SubstanceDesigner
Probably that's why there is Substance Painter in the works. As for above Marii discussion. No matter how awesome features it might have, it's simply way to expensive. At least from my point of view. In any case it will be interesting to compare Painter to Marii, once it will be released especially in terms gameart…
got plenty of shit in the work. also i updated my site a few times lately with stuff. ill have to redesign my site sometime tho. it was intended for the gameart. not the designpart has become so heavy. that demands more room than the little block im giving it.

Contact me at: Tom.Klovholt@Shadow-Embryo.com for prices and info for custom gameart and music. I also work for royalties (30% minimum,in small teams), but you really have to convince me that you’re working on an hit (no mmorpg’s and no projects with an timeframe over 6 months). [ QUOTE ] BTW, I was approved for Osnabrück but decided to go to university instead. [/ QUOTE ] Probably a good choice... Osnabrück isn't exactly exciting (I am not from here originally)... but it would have been fun having another Polycounter in town. (Gameart and stuff like that is still a rare hobby )
Thanks Nynedown I did think of dividing up the 3D page and into gameart and non game art but that proved confusing because its all sorted chronologically by year at the moment so the easiest way I could think of to show off just game art was to have a new page for it.
I expect I will contribute again, certainly I have more things I can comment on than I did before and I have a lot of information on carpal tunnel, rsi, tendonitis, arthritis and general hand / posture related to gameart creation. Great work Rick. r.
