How Get Into and Survive the Gaming Industry: a Polycount FAQ was started by Rorshach on the old boards, and then hosted as a static page by Doc Rob for a long time.

It is now getting a new home, in the guise of a wiki:

I could do with an editor or two to help shift the content. We'll maybe need to edit some spelling and grammar.

I think the next step is to reorganise sections of it:

- Skills
- Experience
- Portfolio
- Interviews
- Contacts
- Whats it like? Pay, conditions, dress code, that ort of stuff.

Working in the Industry
- How to act
- What to wear
- Dealing with others

That sort of stuff.

I'd like some feedback on thse suggestiosn - and maybe a few folk to help me move the information around.

Wikis are taking over the world - Hoorah!

This was such a good resource, lets keep it up to date.
I will certainly contribute but Im unfortunately unable to help move stuff about.

I expect I will contribute again, certainly I have more things I can comment on than I did before and I have a lot of information on carpal tunnel, rsi, tendonitis, arthritis and general hand / posture related to gameart creation.

Ror, the hand/wrist pain stuff would be a great addition.

We should log some more questions once the transfer is complete, it was a good way to generate content.

Agreed, this was gold for me when I first read it almost 3-4 years ago*, wow has it been that long? It shaped how I grew and acted as an artist. It is nice to see someone updating and giving all that good stuff a good home. Nice work guys.
