Hi! Firstly I'd like to make excuses that it is a model of boring props. And I'm sorry for my english too, cause it isn't my first language and as far as I know I'm not good in it. :icon15: So it's my first experience in game low-poly and I'd like to know what's wrong with it. Of cource if it is any problems with the…
Alright, this here is my first pimpin' post, and I'm hoping you guys like my initial take on an earth golem. This here sonofabitch is about 250 ft tall w/out the tree...I think. He'll be sporting a rocky epidermis, as well, gaseous fissures of sorts sprout from his shoulders/forehead/notsurewhereelseyet. The entire concept…
Hey everybody of polycount. I'm working on a level that's going to have a survival horror feel to it. I have some grain and vignette that you can see in the picture close to the ground. There is also some detail that is being restricted from view in some areas. Anyways... I would like some critiquing and feedback from you…
Transform a textured low-poly 3D mesh into a detailed high-poly sculpt so I can bake normal map. It's a chibi but has defined muscles, you should have strong knowledge about man's heroic muscles. We will need a zbursh file, progress images, or a video of the making process (so we can use it on social media). Budget: $150.
I got the Asus Slate bout 3 months ago at microcenter fer bout $250 I see they r now at New EGG fer $190. Tested out an i7 surface book at Best Buy last night and although I am pretty sure that if I had zBrush or large texture files in Photoshop for testing there would probably be many instances of apparent performance…
I guess its the idea that I get so committed and ingrained into a piece of software that when it comes to the end of the educational license it will be like I'm stuck in it and end up paying this massive fee or needing to make the switch to something else anyways (so why not put those efforts into something else now.).…
My laptop is my only machine, so I do need a good card. The Macbooks have ati x1600's that are underclocked from the standard 450 mhz down to 250 mhz. That pretty much blows, and sends performance back to the last generation of cards. My 1500m would stomp on it all day long in every possible scenario, I have a larger…
@Lurcisia I think if you just used the simple exponential fog you'd have better results. It looks like you are trying to use the atmospheric fog, but that fog is more complex and really geared towards wide open spaces. Fog can be tricky in general though. I'd make the near distance super close somewhere around 100 or 250…
I don't understand why you're using 9 sides and 4 segments, at least match those up with the amount of bumps to avoid weirdly smoothed bumps. In fact, using 8 instead of 9 sides would look better and reduce polies. You don't necessarily have to model in all the bumps, but I'd encourage you do to so. It'll take about 250 or…
