Hi, Why isn't Sculptris Pro mode popular between artists and they usually tend to use Dynamesh? In Dynamesh unwanted fusion between close distances in very annoying. You need to increase the Dynamesh resolution to avoid unwanted fusion but more resolution makes some big deformations to the model much more difficult.
Anyone know how to show an object with a screen space mapping texture at full resolution when rendering? While in viewport, the texture looks high resolution. Once I render with mental ray, the texture shows low res. I tried it with a standard material and mental ray material, same results. Thanks

Hi guys, I was just rendering some screenshots in Marmoset Toolbag 2 and realized all captured images have a resolution of 96 dpi. Is there a way to set it to 72? I would like to have a uniform workflow where all my images have the same resolution. Thanks!
After doing hair for the first time it occured to me that maybe one could transfer vertex normals from the high resolution sculpt that you bake your normal map from onto the low resolution mesh. Would this be a good idea, do people do it?
i think the textures are too low resolution on the jusaka scene. you might need to up the resolution are maybe make the uvs more efficiently packed. hard to tell unless u post your UVs and texture flats up.
@eld - that's been my argument to the whole thing. It's analogous to buying a television set that advertises on the box that it is capable of displaying HD resolutions. If you buy it, and find that it in fact does not display HD resolutions, you're likely to complain about the product.

Definitely not the best looking game of this next-gen-console-release-cycle. But the high resolution textures are really nice for 1440x2560+ displays. I'm just happy pc games aren't going to have to be stuck with the texture resolutions of last generation's consoles anymore.
