Indeed, it would be more efficient to use the "switch" mode of the blend node to choose either input, instead of using the "copy" mode and zero/full opacity. If you need to choose between more than two inputs, you can use the "multi switch" nodes from the library.
After the acquisition of ZBrush by Maxon, I'm not willing to pay the large and permanent subscription fees for snail-pace upgrades, but not doing so means I'll have to stop using ZBrush eventually. Whether because it gets outpaced by other software, Maxon stops authorizing perpetual license installations on new hardware,…
Hey guys. I'm wondering how one would go about switching the dark texture on the character over to the light one mid gameplay (in ue4). In the sense that the light crawls outwards from the center of the body and illuminates the character like its powering up.
I've been trying to figure this out for some time. Is it possible to swtich from DDO to NDO and then back to DDO seemlessly? seems like the moment I switch to NDO and start editing the normal map, it destroys my DDO project. Anyone have some insights?
Hello again! For my final Portfolio class I am undertaking making a character, Nintendo Switch Hero, by Chanin Suasungnern. ( https://www.artstation.com/chanins). This will be a WIP of my process, and I am learning as I go, so feedback and/or character modeling techniques would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed response, I really appreciate it. :) You're absolutely right that concept design is its own discipline, and that's one of the reasons I'm not treating the AI images as blueprints. Shes flying on a broom and will be surrounded by some type of creatures. A very quick value test Started doing a bit of rendering I moved from grey tones…
In max 2010, is there an option to always have editable poly NURMS active (not the modifiers but sub object)? Recently it started switching off when i deselect the object. I dunno if updates caused this or i hit the wrong key by mistake, but i'd rather have it on all the time. Any thoughts?
Can you show what you've got so far? Is the bottom image a viewport screenshot or a render? Forest Pack is "just" a scattering tool. You can use basically any geometry and proxies with it (I'd assume that includes Arnold stand-ins), use various manners of area distribution with variation as well as manual placement, you…
Hi everyone, I'm not entirely sure if I've stumbled upon a bug or I'm being completely stupid. I started texturing a project of mine and saved it out. Upon reloading the project I was confused to find that the map switching option on my mesh group had disappeared. I've attached a video showing my problem:…
