I enjoy using markers, sometimes to the chagrin of my illustration teacher. Sure a similar method can be reproduced digitally, but there is no ctrl-z with ink and paper. Its quite nice to throw down shapes and develop something cool while not being tethered to a PC. A small sketchbook and a few prismacolors or copics and…
The guy wants to create an illustration using a model, there are a near infinite number of approaches to be had and it all comes back to artistic merits. The practical choice is always going to be the one that creates the result that the artist is looking for for that particular piece, you still don't seem to be getting…
oh and here is an illustration ive been working on while my code compiles... :P its my take on yggdrasil from norse mythology. this is just laying in composition and colors - feels a tad too dark right now, ill start working in some foundation and more details in the focal point soon though. and SCALES :D !!!!!
im not saying people who do drugs are not fit to vote (or the opposite),its not the point. i'm illustrating how people tend to make the bad decisions even when given a better choice. you say drugs can be ok, but would you choose smoking in moderation over not smoking at all, if you can help it?

Well it sort of compares to flash and it sort of doesnt. I personally use it as an illustration tool but it is fully capable of animation. As for its own internet format thats faster then flash and capable of doing your taxes, you'll have to ask Darco the developer about that. You'll find him here at Deep Darc.com:…
This is looking pretty nice, but the face could use a little more work. I don't know how closely you were planning on sticking to the illustration, but there's a gauntness to it right now that doesn't quite match with the rest of her body for me. I also think it would be worth the extra polygons to give the wings thickness…
Hey Jack, i like the gallery but I feel that the scene has a tad too much saturation and I think a bit of volumetric light would help a lot. Also the materials could be tweaked a little, especially in the spec/glossiness department. I hope this quick paintover helps to illustrate my point about the light and saturation:
I've been playing around some more with vectorart ... while I'm still doing stuff for university. Everything still is work in progress.... I've start an little illustration... (very wip) Also I've done some creatures/enemies: haha, had some fun doing this... through there could be lot of improvement, I guess.
Hehe, yeah agreed, but its fairly consistant with the way that type of character is illustrated in all the Empire stuff. Is that an excuse for "genericness"? Probably not, but it's comfortable. You don't want an Warrior Priest of Sigmar to be a pointy chinned, greasy haired weasle of a guy. I thought he looked appropriatly…
