So far I have been using maya quad draw and for the most part I get good low poly mesh. The problem is that is takes quite a while (like a couple days) to do a retopo for even a bust. What program is the best for retopo and what programs do you guys use?? Thanks
Is this possible? I'm still relatively new to Zbrush. Sculpted a bust from a cube, exported to Topogun, and redone the topology. So now I've just a low res model. Can I take this new model back into ZBrush, subdivide it to the same level of the original cube and somehow project the details onto the new mesh? Cheers!
[This is not up to date, follow my ArtStation or Instagram if you want!] --- Hi Polycount! I would like to share my projects and WIPs here with you from now on ^^ Feedback is very welcome. Yesterday I did a Saruman bust to practice ZBrush: [Click for turntable video] I'm looking forward to sharing more. Thanks for taking a…
Hey everyone, working this on my spare time, which isn't much lately, but I'm at a point where I would like some critique and new perspective. Going for a more realistic style this time and also my main goal with this is to make an attractive female, let me know what you guys think! Based on the concept by Joon Ahn
Thanks everyone. I'm busting my ass as much as I can to keep sharp while applying to a lot of jobs. Everything was built in maya and textured in photoshop. I've been working for eight years, it's this ninth that's off to a slow start. btw, don't forget the challenge thread!
Small update. Been busting my ass to get these textures done for the dolly and coke machine. The textures for my coke machine are getting there but I still need add a few more things, and work on the metal pieces of the model. Any feedback or criticism is most definitely welcome.
yeh iu wasnt sure if this was going to get busted oir not? its technically fair game in the general topics i suppose ut i understand if they want it closed. yeh i totally wish my GF was into 3D. :( sigh.. we live and dream eh? :P
Thanks, xxxcubanxxx! Quick bust because I've been enjoying XCOM lately and have aliens on the brain. Based on a sketch by Al Rio. The goal is to do a lot more of these types of things as exercises between time spent on my other projects. We'll see how that goes.
Wow, tons of great entries in here, makes me kinda nervous to even attempt. I'll probably bust out quick concepts and block outs tonight. mradamw and ocarian, I absolutely love both of your character designs, can't wait to see the finished products
I've only printed in plastic but sandstone I think the above posters are correct, there would be weight issues with the bust, like those things might just fall off even if it prints out correctly. Awesome work though. Really nice job on the form / legs especially.
