Hello Polycount! I started a little project few weeks ago, using Unity and ShaderForge. The goal was to create a scene with a spooky ambiance, conveying the kind of feeling you may experience when you are alone at night, reading good old ghost stories in front of a nice fireplace, with the wind howling outside. The…
Good stuff. I looked at it for a while because I kept having the feeling that something was missing. In the end I believe the two things that could use some improvement are the lighting and atmosphere. The lighting (and therefor the composition) is distracting. You seem to have a lot of screens/lights at the same…
You need to create a Macro button- when it is on, your lights become constrained to your camera and move to the bottom right of your viewport (so you can rotate them if needed), when you turn it off they go back to initial positions.

After X-rite it was perfectly ok. Still it has a tiny vertical angle with correct gamma/contrast and I had to instinctively move my…
The lighting is too flat, imo. Particularly in the night scenes, there is too much ambient and very few darker areas. Very little variation in color either. Still, educational nonetheless. We don't have people specifically designated at lighting artists, but do have some folks that are much better at it. A lot of time our…
Hi! I tried to push the atmosphere in this piece, however something bothers me. Also, I have concerns about the right shore - I'm not sure if I managed to push it from foreground into the distance successfully. So, any advice or critique and overpaints are welcome! Thanks for your attention and have a nice day!
