Is there an easy way to do this? My default game view is first person, yet I'd like to switch it to a freefly cam to see from other angles. Also is there a quick and easy way to have 1 to 1 collision for your meshes for the purposes of a block out?
Kind of a modern day Voynich Manuscript, the Codex Seraphinianus is getting a reprint on Oct. 29th. I only found out about this book in the last few months but I love weird stuff, maybe it's a mutation from too much Escher & Dali exposure as a child. The price isn't too shabby either:…
A quick (1 and 1/2 days) project I felt like doing after looking a lot at the art of Bioshock Infinite. Main Display Stand geometry was made as a 'kit' of planks and warped/distorted and assembled into all sorts of configurations after being baked and textured, and as opposed to a lot of recent personal work being largely…
For another project I am working on, a requirement I have set myself is that I will need to be able to use vertex paint some meshes. I have been doing some research based on this requirement and how to develop the shader, and thought it would be good to share my findings and hopefully help out anybody else looking to learn…
Cool project :+1: My only nitpick would be that some of the grass currently looks floaty and could integrate better with the world. Perhaps something like blending in a different texture at the ground could help with that. But also placement. Gameplay wise, I could imagine tracking some person or a group and piecing…

Blurs turn around is exceptionally fast, i think they 1 1/2 to 2 weeks for a character. From what i can gather from things folks like Ian Joyner and Sze Jones have said they tend to recycle base meshes a lot.
Hi friends! I hope to be able to explain my GREAT problem with substance painter. I'm creating a TEST SCENARIO for DIORAMA, a mesh is the bottom. Above is another mesh that is the sea.I set it as a water material METAL ROUGHT WITH ALPHA BLENDING. Added to the OPACITY texture set. BUT I can't give transparency to water. If…

Day 1 studios is located down the road from Exis' offices, and working closely with these guys was an absolute pleasure. If you haven't checked out Fracture yet, give it a go. The art was extremely fun to work on, and I can't say enough good things about the people at Day 1 studios. This is just a small list, for more…
