I've set up a generic pattern masked upon a cylinder. What i want to do is "extract" the masked out area "bevel" the edges at the same time. Is this possible?
export the mesh as obj, reimport, as a new tool and see if that fixes it. if it does, you can now re-construct the lower subdivs and continue adding more,

I just use particle hair, convert ti to cards with hair tool addon, then sculpt the cards further. works ok, but never quite perfect Blenders new hair oprions are pretty good too ie geometry nodes, but I am not keen to switch over completely yet hair tools addon has its own shader with a nice anisotropic look
I hear about this new Plugin for GIMP that let you create Normal Maps. The Plugin name Insane Bump, they release a new version, 2.0. any one tested it?
