So I have Maya 2015 and in object mode dragging over objects does nothing. Vertex and faces dragging works but object mode nope. If the object is selected by clicking on it and then I try and drag over it it deselects but if it isn't selected it doesn't get selected. It's as if dragging doesn't think i'm dragging over an…
Shading breaking on small objects, second image the shading is not looking good, if I increase the size of the object and apply transform It will fix it, but I need the object to be small with transforms applied Is there a way to fix this without having to apply the weighted normals modifier?
Hello, I'm just getting into sculpting with mudbox 2011, and got a question about working with multiple objects. For example, Imagine having one object as your character and another object representing some sort of belt. I imported the 'belt' object later, after I did some sculpting on the object I started with. Now I just…
I figured there would be an option in object properties but check box for edges only does something else. The problem is that I don't want to see the mesh on an object that is really dense (that is pretty useless) but I still wanna see the edges on the object I am working on or the 'retopo' object. Freezing the dense…
Is there any way to generate object space normals with NDO? If not, is it possible to composite the normals from NDO into an object space bake from the low-poly to create an object-space version?
Typically you would use bake groups - find more info on that here: https://marmoset.co/posts/toolbag-baking-tutorial/ In this case, it looks like your highpoly is a contiguous surface while the low poly is split into multiple objects - it won't be possible to bake a mesh like this without some sort of seam or artifact…
Basically that. How do you planify on grouping UVs from a set of objects - atlases as for my understanding - on large scenes to also ensure decent texel density to bake? You do it by area? - idk, kitchen, room 1, room 2 - by type of object? by size? Hope that makes sense @_@
hey there. is there a way to lock the camera on mesh/object axis? i'm working much with "orthographic" view...camera moves around objectaxis, but then suddenly not anymore and the object moves around like the world around the sun.... so i have to go back to "create", deselect object, select object again, so camera stuck on…
