They use UDK for lighting because you are expecting to know a game engine for most jobs. It doesnt have to be the engine that company is using, they just need to know you can navigate engines and have skills to use the tools. mikiex: I agree! Konamis Fox Engine, Square Enix Luminous Engine and Capcoms Panta Rhei Engine. Very happy to see they are finally catching up. Hopefully it will bring back their self-confidence in game creation.
File formats are interchangeable, the engine is most likely the same, it was gamebryo(which is a rendering engine) that they replaced with their own stuff.
Before I go into detail about my problem, has anyone here worked with the Shiva engine before? Specifically exporting a model and rig from Max? Thanks :)
