Near and Far clip plane in Maya
The near and far clip plane reset to 0 and 10 no matter what I set in my preferences. So each time I start a new scene I end up having to fix each camera's values. This seems to be a common maya bug that most people just work around. I'd like to figure it out tho. Has anyone had this before? What is the solution? -

better than the first badname With the stones it looks much better. The wear and tear still seems a bit random and on some parts not believable. The specular is very strong. Try to turn it down a bit. The wear and tear on the top also looks very random. Try to put some wear and tear on the inner part of the lid where it is… -

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, really appreciate it. Good point about the overuse of grunge - I agree it can read too uniform and artificial, especially on the materials and wear patterns. SOLVED: Edge Wear Is Not Happening Around UV Edges...?
So I am using 1.7 and I have black for my background color for the ID color map but the edge wear is not appearing around my UV seams (??) -
