Zack Petroc's dvds are pure gold, buy them! Modeling/sculpting skills and concepts can be easily translated from app to app. As for rigging and character setup, its entirely different subject and pretty much software-specific.
tnx zack: dunno why they would have picked cairo :p i guess they had to do it in africa for once Wolverine sculpt WIP1 early blockin fase http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/5084/wolverinewip1.png
Arn't you the guy that copied Zack Fowler's sword. Oh the ironing lol ...but yeah, we've seen things like this a few times in the past, but I don't think they will get far. lol Zip you are pretty cute :P
Zack Fowler - totally agree its funny tho, what about last year DW when they were selling posters of the winners and what not? no one said anything about that? and i believe the artist made no profit from it either.
On this video, It shows a different way of making the handle all he uses is one brush but using both Zadd and Zsub for makingsome straps go into one another around the 52 minute mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5p1CqkzmHko
Hey all, Im Zach and I am currently a student at LCAD working on a project. At this point I am currently finalizing my block out for this asset. I would love any feedback on better ways to tackle certain parts or a cleaner way to accomplish something. I am also working on a trim sheet to add decals further down the road.…
Thank you so much everyone! @Brian "Panda" Choi I'll explore those 3D models you mentioned! @Zack Maxwell That's what I figured, thanks so much for clarifying! @BIGTIMEMASTER Agreed! Thank you!
Also if you just want to paint, not sculpt, make sure RGB is turned on and Zadd/Zsub is off. You can also hide the polygroup, mask all, unhide so you can still see it but have it 'locked'
Heres a screenshot. @Zack I tried all the things you have suggested,it helped a tiny bit but not as much as i would have hoped. @proph Tried your suggestion as well and it didnt seem to have any impact.
Hello everyone, I was wondering (first level with UDK) if it is not a smart move to make some things high poly than should be just so presentation (higher detail) looks nicer than actually playability of the level? Is this a bad move or should I shoot for playability? Thanks, Zack
