Hey all, I'm looking to hire a freelance 3d artist for the modeling, lighting, rendering and potential animation of a film production logo. The logo is of a wax seal with a crest in it and some text... relatively simple, but... i'm specifically looking for a hyper realistic lighting and rendering job on this. Ideally…
I am trying to figure out an alternative to using artstation to host a marmoset viewer file on an external site like Wix or Squarespace. I have not seen much about this online and just wanted to know if anyone knew of any ways to get around using Artstation because of the file size limitation. If there isn't a way I am…
Hello to
all great artist in this forum. I have for some time follow the amazing works
been posted here. Now that I
have worked hard on the programming part of my game for the past 5 months I believe I need to hire someone to work the
sprites for me. I want to
do this in the correct way and therefore I need to know what…
When opening someone else's .max file, it uses their settings (ie 2 default lights instead of my 1). Then when I start a new project it will also keep those settings. How do I open these files whilst keeping all of my preferences?
3ds max 2014 works, and I would like to import/open my models that I made with 2015 version... how could I do that? In this very case you would need the 2015 files to be saved in the 2014 file format. File ---> save as 2014 under Max 2015
At a glance, wondering if the OP had posted the wrong image given their context for this thread is game asset modeling practice so perhaps high poly version? Also this object is contiguous (one piece as in real life) lvl 1 sub surf/divided mesh hence imagine that the initial sketched low poly base topology would be fine.
SOLVED: Ok figured it out, I had to click the edit topology button on and off a few times. Sorry for the wasted thread. Ok so after saving and opening or crashing and opening a retopo session in Z Brush I can continue to retopo my mesh and all the orange wires are still visible from anything done before the save. But when…

I don't know about other countries, but I'm like 99% sure they can fire you over that in the US. A lot of places force you to sign paperwork before getting hired that basically says they can let you go for whatever reason they feel like without any explanation required. I've heard Walmart in particular will fire people for…
It looks pretty nice so far, but as stated above, the smoke should probably last longer because it disappears at the same time as the fire spark part. Also, increasing the lifetime of those black explosion chunks that can be seen once the smoke clears would probably give it more of a destructive effect since it gives off…
