Hello to all great artist in this forum. I have for some time follow the amazing works been posted here.
Now that I have worked hard on the programming part of my game for the past 5 months I believe I need to hire someone to work the sprites for me.
I want to do this in the correct way and therefore I need to know what you as an artist need to understand correctly what a job is about. What is a fair payment term and how do you expect to get paid
I know this are general questions but I also imagine that there must be a broad understanding of what is a good practices when hiring an artist in a professional way.
Thank you all for any feedback

This does Help! Thanks! I will look further.
I am also looking into other people offers but most of the communication is done outside the post so it is hard to follow.
Thank you for the reply. In fact know next to nothing in regard to art creation an the entire process... But I do work in sales and I know that any customer is on the best side when he at least know what he should ask and what infos to give.
I will do some further reading but I plan to soon follow your advice and talk with an artist.
In fact I am looking for something I would consider to be quite simple compared to the level of creations I see here. More of a 2d sprite art of the first world war on a topDown view as well as landscapes.
