What was that one game with the huge guy and axe, was on the mega drive then recently on the 360...? I could have sworn that was it. But either way yeah, you really need to take it back a notch modeling wise regardless.

Looks good man, parts of the unwrap look a bit skewed though according to the checker pattern, it's apparent in the texture on the roof of the Mace/Axe weapon where it seems to be doing a zigzag. Apart from that it's looking neat :)
Hey everyone, Would love to get some feedback on my recent pass. Please note: - I re-timed the body, so it is somewhat out of sync with the ax and the block-dummy Thanks, Cameron https://syncsketch.com/sketch/0b20ba308ece/#956971/883603
I am struggling with animations, since I haven't done them before. Basically, what would I need to do, to animate a swinging axe trap? Does it require bones (for the unreal engine). How do I make it look realistic?
I'm agreeing with Jeffro here, that some things just don't match that well together, some textures are better than others and they just dont work that well. @Jeffro The Axe is a design from Blizzard itself so taking WoW ref is a bit litteraly taken.
i actually did use marmoset for a couple of the renders of my portfolio, i have not used UE4 as of yet. The tower and the axe are rendered in marmoset 2. Does anyone else have any critiques or things that might be good for me to learn in order to get better.
2018 has shift-extrude on the move, rotate, and scale tools. You can also edit what shift-click does in the preferences. And as always, you can Ctrl+E to extrude and get the menu, as well as be able to move all selected faces in local axes.
Yeah. This is actually useful, to be able to hide the clickable gizmo, when you're doing precision work like 3d snapping along a single axis. You can also hide the gizmo and use F5 thru F8 to switch the axes. So the gizmo is out of the way.
Amazing concepts, I've seen your work yesterday on CGhub :) That Axe is really awesome, If you need someone to model it, I would love too :) You can have a look at my workshop items here: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197968259278/myworkshopfiles/?570
