Hello everyone. The issue i'm experiencing is what I paint a mask using Dynamask, whatever I paint stays in Dynamask. I cannot see or edit the mask outside of it. If i create a custom mask in PS (without painting in Dynamask) it works fine. I can still go back and edit it no problem. I like using the Marquee tool to create…
Looking good so far! The light on the wall above the electrical box, usually those have a visible conduit connecting to the electrical box. Might be nice to add. For the pipe hero asset pics, I would prefer less empty space around the models… get those up close to the camera. Wireframes are easier to read if they are…
Guys, is there some good, i mean really good intro online course for digital painting? I want to learn painting with 3D modeling, so i cam hand paint my models or even use reference photos. Of course would be good if there is some online courses, from beginner to advanced
Hello, "add color paint layer" adds a new paint layer but after that it just kind of freezes the 3D view. I can still use the GUI and Photoshop is still working fine. But no more camera controls in 3DO and no painting, why? I´m using a decent desktop machine with i5 and GTX 460 EDIT: the camera controls are working now.…
I'm using 3DS max 2011 and I'm trying to weight pain a model that has multiple pieces of geometry, a hand to be specific. It's robotic so there's some floating geometry. When I try to weight paint the weights bleeds into some of the geometry that I do not want to be painted, even if I isolate the specific the specific…
Hi Polycount, This is Einar, a low poly hand painted character project which I started. And I want to share the progress with you guys. I started out with the design of Einar. I didn't fully paint him out, because the main focus of this project will be the model and of course the hand painted textures. With this painting I…
Hi folks, I was just wondering if anyone had used Photoshop's 3d OBJ paint mode to paint models akin to mudbox. I have watched a couple of videos and think at the very least it could be useful for painting seams but I was interested to see if people have adapted it into their workflow and if there was any tips or practices…
that is just the nature of projection painting. you just need to paint carefully while using the projection tool. you only want to paint on faces that are relatively facing straight to the camera. paint small areas at a time, rotate your view and paint again.
So I'm wondering this now for nearly my whole (3d)-live What is better and why should you use the one or the other? The obvious difference is that Face-Centric doesn't need to split edges on UV borders. That's why every modeling tool I know of uses this approach Anything else? Many games use Point-Centric (that's why you…
Polypainting is just that, you apply color (paint) to verts (polys). zBrush uses it as a method of 3D painting. It's pretty cool, but has its limitations. Since it applies color to vertices, you need a whole lot of verts in order to paint anything detailed. This means that you need to paint on a highpoly mesh, which then…
