Hi Polycount,
This is Einar, a low poly hand painted character project which I started.
And I want to share the progress with you guys.
I started out with the design of Einar. I didn't fully paint him out, because the main focus
of this project will be the model and of course the hand painted textures. With this painting I wanted
to get the general shapes and proportions into place. Somethings can still change, once I am sculpting
and blocking him out in 3D.
I am already very excited about this project!
And the next post will be about the first version of the Zbrush block out.
C&C are of course more then welcome.
Friendly greetings,
Jens Patteeuw

Started with the block out of Einar in Zbrush. This is of course a very early stage,
but I already wanted to share this.
@jose.fuentes Thank you Jose for your comment, the idea I had was to try to push the asymmetry straight in 3D.
That way it is easier to see what works and what not. But I wont go for an over the top with asymmetry.
Also I will put the entire character in the same texture space, so some parts wont be unique.
Continued to work on the block out. The shoulder pad is still a big work in progress, and more of a placeholder
at this stage.
Fixed the head position and updated the shoulder pad.
And changed some minor things.
The entire character is on one uv. Only the sword/weapon still needs to be unwrapped and will have a different uv.
@Infandum Thank you! Changed the shoes a bit in the low poly version.
The software I am using for this is 3D Coat.
Still got a long way to go with Einar in general but learning a lot!
Really enjoying myself with this project heh. It's hard to stop once you are painting.
Already changed a lot of things, but I still want to push the texture even further.
I really enjoyed working on this project and I learned a lot while doing so.
C&C are of course still more then welcome.
