Your work is nice, I think, but for the love good art please post these on regular backgrounds and knock the 'keeping it metal' shit off. It's distracting and making it irritating to look at you art work. I feel like I am staring at a bear in a forest through a bunch of leaves when all I want to see is the bear.
I dunno, the fetishes were shown as these nasty little minidemons. That whole section of the game was pretty sinister, especially with its racist colonial undertones. Or maybe it was just silly. Ghostriders concept looks more like a big forest protector, I'm thinking of a giant version of the Deku people... seems more…
Cleaned up the trees and adjusted the placement to look more nature, and created a smaller pine tree to scatter in the fields and act as filler in the forest and a flat image of a couple of the trees to fill in in the distance where the horizon was showing. Also added some decals around the scene to make it look dirtier…
Hey! Trying out this idea I had about abandonment and finding beauty in the small things. My concept is of a cursed deformed child which spreads only death and misery, without being able to control it. It has been abandoned at birth in a forest and has grown in darkness and isolation, until one day a flower manages to grow…
Here is a forest scene I put together to help me get familiar with UDK again after not using it for a few months. It was also an exercise for me teaching this quarter and it was originally inspired by Gnomons contest last month. I did not have enough time to finish it,since I went out of town for Christmas. So a scene with…
I think you're missing the forest for the trees, two listen. Part of making cool stuff is being informed about what you're making. Literary criticism is VITAL to a creative existence -- if you can't dig at the implications of what's in front of you, how can you possibly author something meaningful?
Technically speaking everything seems quite nice. The only problem is it feels to me like the stylized and realistic elements clash pretty hard in this scene. I personally think that a stylized forest would complete this scene, or viceversa; a realistic house. Trying to have both in one scene is a bit confusing to the…
good crits, thanks! i especially agree about the dramatic lighting, my stuff often gets very flat. i tried to fix some of the issues in the forest painting, added bounced ligthing and more contrast; i also made a couple of new ones, im most pleased with the last;
Everybody loves cute furry beings, so here is another one I made a fox model some months ago and now reworked it a bit and animated it. Done with Softimage XSI 4.2. Here's a still from the animation: And here is the Animation: >>>>> Fox Forest Animation (3.3 MB) <<<<< The video was compressed with DivX 5.2.1. Bonus: Some…
Well after 5 days off from work I am back tomorrow. Did I do anything exciting? 'no' Am I happy to be back. 'no' Am I going to build some more models this month? 'yes' Will they be similar to the ones I built last month? 'probably' Am I going crazy? Answers on a postcard care of the mighty squirrel in the forest.
