hello. just wondering if you guys could give me a little advice. i have 2 maps for a character(about 5000 polys). i want to paint in a lot of detail. i'm just wondering if you guys recommend using 2 512's or two 1024's. this model is just for show. it's not going in a game or anything. just portfolio stuff. thanks fritz

Recently upgraded to 3ds Max 2012, and I'm getting a boarder or padding around my Render to Texture (black, empty space) instead of filling out the boarders (rendering a tiling texture). Anybody know how to disable this?
I have run into an issue with 3DS Max 2012 where if I have multiple objects selected and render texture (Lighting), the edge bleed is horrible, and marked with black streaks. If I do one object at a time, it comes out nice and clean. Has anyone else run into this?

Hey to all, I was wondering if anyone knew a Greeble alternative for Max 2012 (even Max 2011-2009) which would work. So far I have been using the Ribbons Random Selection and making clones of the planes and shelling them. Anyone has any other tips? Cheers and ciao.
