Hello! Here's the finished model of the mushroom guy. It was challenging as hell but I've managed to bring to point where I can say " that will do" and move on to something new. Render in Keyshot, texturing in Mari. High res: http://s22.postimg.org/keqk4pj0f/Mushroom_Render_FINAL.jpg

Yea, i thought the same about the lights. I put the model in Keyshot, place a blue light with high intensity to contrast the red metallic paint and increased the contrast of the environment. Then in photoshop i blur the background and add some lens flare in a new layer.
https://youtu.be/2nFzlEA4LEA This tutorial focuses on taking a dirty mesh from Blender into Zbrush and Keyshot. I created this mesh with a lot of boolean operations via a script by MasterXeon1001 called Hardops. This script is very useful in quickly chopping up your mesh. The problem is the geo can be really dirty and…
This is my first post here, I started this a while ago and feel like wrapping it up and doing something new, I rendered this with keyshot and liked the result, I'm not intending to make a game model or anything, just wanted to put him in a pose and create some images.
Do whatever it takes to make your model look good. You could render it in vray, keyshot.. ect paint on extra lighting. If you aren't able to get the look you want from one render, do a couple and compile. Just make it look as good as possible!
Neither Xnormal or Keyshot use the GPU. When you say venting- do you just mean you hear fans spinning up? That is probably normal but if you are concerned you can log temps. The best solution here is a better CPU cooler and better case cooling.
Update: Fixed the bulbous tyres. Changed the lights at the back and added a rear bumper for attaching stuff. @HitmonInfinity dude your high poly renders are pretty sweet. Are you just rendering out of max/maya or using keyshot or something? I always struggle making nice renders.
Hey guys! here I want to share another character of mine. This is one of my personal characters, done just for fun and practice in spare time. Low poly mesh has around 7k tris and a 2k texture. In game mesh rendered in marmoset, hi poly in Keyshot.
