Hey, just a quick update before I go out. I've sculpted, UV'd and laid the base colours down on the rest of the wood bits for this stairway. I'll finish the rest of the details tomorrow.
Any tutorials will be good. Pick the ones with sculpting, hand painting texturing, high to low baking, optimization, and concept painting, as those will probably be the most useful skills to have on this journey. God speed.
I think the sculpting on the jeans looks pretty cool, but the scale of the folds doesn't suggest boy to me. If I cover up the upper body it looks like an adult male lower body.
i like prowlers :):):) as the others suggested i think the silhouette can be pushed and defined some more working on the lowres, and maybe you can sculpt it in a more interesting pose. But it's nice nevertheless.
Here is the progress on my sculpt for Tina. I made adjustments to her form and startted adding details. Thanks to everyone for the crits, they really helped develop her a bit more. Here she is. :)
Working on this Wraith King weapon for the February competition: Really trying to get a grip on the basics of sculpting. I might rework the surface details and figure out something a little different for the 'tongue' and pommel.
Welcome to PC. I used the same book to learn Zbrush; just keep working through it and you'll get better. My lion was pretty hideous, being my first sculpt and all.
Didnt notice the face on the front of the train, it awesome. Did you sculpt that? Going with photo source on this sounds like a solid plain and will be a whole different mood to the piece. Keep up the awesome work!
Japhir: Thanks! Made a little progress on the sculpt. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of mudbox. It took me forever to figure out how to lock objects because I'm retarded.
