I think you need to reference existing armor suits (or fabricated for Movies, like the Pacific Rim rift suits) to see where exactly wear and tear builds up. Same goes for the gun. My overall impression is that this was just run through dDo and called done, without a large amount time spent on refining and redefining…
The image you have there now is probably the best you've ever done, and that's awesome! Be excited! That said, it's still flat, and it seems to me that you're more trying to reproduce stuff you've seen before instead of breaking the form down and building it from the ground up. In other words, it seems to me that you got…
I dont know what kind of female anatomy you are going for so Im just going to assume its standard pretty girl stuff. Id say your ribcage is too small in height and depth and too pronounced, its like shes holding her breath, rather try use more neutral pose/breathing reference like this bikini model I found on google…
Ravenslayer, no problem. Use whatever you want or need. :) I have one suggestion - why the height spinner is disabled? If I want to grab the screenshot with height of (for example) 1000px I have to calculate the height/width ratio and then put the xxxx.xxxx value in width spinner. Can you release the script with "active"…
[EDIT] Everything mentioned in this post is free or has a free version. [EDIT] I saw realVNC mentioned in here a few times to use. Please be very careful using this application and serving your desktop out to the net. RealVNC is a fantastic application and I use it to get back to my desktops at work a lot. However, sharing…
Hi guys. I'm Ryan Gatts, 24, working in Seattle. I'm an animator/ effects artist/ technical artist kind of guy. Not sure what variety of things you'll see here, but I'm open to critique on all of it. Even if you don't know the math or specific steps involved in fixing it, an outside eye is always helpful. So here's some…
I'm working on a VR game that uses pixel art characters and started using some new software. I've started with Pyxel Edit which is doing a great job for animation, its really helping, I tried Sprite Illuminator recently too but realised its going to be difficult to get the right painted normals on an animated character (I…
Hi I'm kinda new to UDK. I'm wondering how to start a new project and set up my save folders. I've tried searching on UDN but cant find what I'm looking for. I think I'm setting up things wrong as I cant drag my static meshes into my scene and can't save the .upk. So I'll tell you what I'm doing and someone can correct me.…
I still suggest to bake to lod01 or lod02. Lod 03 may just have not enough geo to support proper baking at all. Just edit/project vertex normals the way they would stay in same direction through lods. I usually just copy/paste vertex normals from one lod to another. Thanks to Blender it's IMO easier there than in Max . It…
Just saw your thread, very nice work! I'm a big fan of black powder guns and even own an 1860 Army, so it's great to see someone tackle one of these big ol' beasts. If you're interested in accuracy, the Dragoon had two different engravings on the cylinder during its run. The first one used only for a few years, is a battle…
