i'd totally be down for a harvard museum visit... the museum is free if you get there before noon, so how about we all meet up with our sketchbooks out at the large AU Bon Pain just outside the Hardvard TStop? It's about a 2 minute walk to the musuem from there. it'll be cool to meet some new people too!
It was a long time ago I used MD2s in quake 2 but I dont think you could specify the which frames were which cycles, maybe you cant do it and it has to be done with code somewhere... sorry its not much help but almost 100% sure that its not something you can do inside the .md2 file.
I'll work for food!!! Yeah it definately sucks but luckily we had ample forewarning that something like this would happen. Some of us stuck around to try and help the company get back up on it's own 2 feet but alas, time was against us. It seems like a lot of the guys have bounced back pretty quick though :)
Looking good! Only thing I noticed is the following: They seem to have the shape of #1 but for some reason I'd expect them to have the shape of #2. So I'm not sure if the bake has a mistake in it or if it's my brain expecting something there isn't. But I'm pointing out just in case ;) Anyway keep it up! Bake seems nice and…
1. Ambient occlusion between the stones should not be pure black, it's too strong. 2. The overall ambient lighting is also too strong, it flattens everything out. 3. The orange lights from your torches are too weak and do not have enough color. It would help to get some reference of lighting you like, and try to duplicate…
Seems like as good a time as any to mention Silo again - the updated UV tools in the latest beta are great, and they've been working on a new version of the topology tool. Watch the video here: http://www.silo3d.com/users/Feed/files/surfacetoolpreview.mov Of course, it has no animation or rendering, but I built about 1/2…

Looks good! I really like how you can get the lines in really quickly! Can't wait to try demo! :D I can't agree with you more! I seem to draw pretty well with a ball point pen and paper but when it comes to Wacom and PS I suddenly become a 2 year old with a crayon! :\
I really like the floor textures, the way the light hits the edge of the tiles is nice. Also if you are having issues with the baking in xnormal, eat 3d has 2 really awesome free videos that might help you. keep it up dude its looking good. :D http://eat3d.com/free/xnormal_overview http://eat3d.com/free/zbrush_xnormal
I HAVE BEGUN BLOCKING AND LIGHTING TESTS! FEAR ME!!!! So yeah, no poses or anything, literally just getting a feel for composition and lighting. Just normal + AO + Cavity. Its getting closer and closer. This coming week will probably be a focus on the operating theater itself. I would like to try and limit the environment…
