I actually like the idea overall. A compact PC-style device running SteamOS makes a lot of sense right now. Personally, I’ve grown pretty tired of PlayStation over the last few years, and on the PC side it feels like a lot of games haven’t been very exciting lately, especially when it comes to performance and optimization.…
Hi, all. I have a seemingly simple goal. I want to scale a tool within zbrush in a single dimension. For example in the image below I have a simple cylinder seen from the side. I want to make it longer, ie stretch it out. How can I do this? The Deformation pallate's Size slider would work, except that it uses a pivot point…
I don't seem to have this problem. I'm on the official 6.65a release. What do you mean by this? You can only use it once and then it doesn't work afterwords? If you mean to slide the edge after you have placed it, you can select the edge loop and use the edge slide tool (Edges menu [shift + E or the Mesh menu at the…
Everyone's crits were entirely right. The base shape was far too flat and boring, and I had done far too much with one piece of geo (which also made the original take far longer than it should have). I also took the chance to change one thing from the concept that bothered me: that stupid, useless handle behind the front…
Titan of the West “At the Western edge of the world stands a giant guardian, ever facing the wind, ever vigilant. It will not allow you to cross the edge of the world. It controls the winds with it’s magic sword and will send you homewards if you near the border of oblivion.” Well that is obviously a problem for anyone…
Edit2* I've received lots of offers! I'm reviewing them and will decide within the next week. Thank you everybody for your messages! Edit* I've gotten a lot of messages, I'll respond to each one but it'll take some time! Thank you! I'm hiring a 3D artist for an unannounced Unity sci-fi game and looking to hire a 3d modeler…
Yeah, good point. I think with my lecturing role there is a lot of middle mouse wheeling up and down marking chats and reveiwng PDFs/blogs/emails and so on. That could be the issue as it's causing my forearm extensors into some RSI. Mixed in with lots of last minute rushed clean up 3D modelling depending on how the last…
Worked on the face some more, learned a bit more about the whole zbrush sculpting workflow. It's getting there! I think the side profiles looks a bit goofy. I took a break from sculpting to block out the clothes. I used one of zbrush's female base mesh, scrapped the breasts, tweaked the proportions and got to work. Back…
Oblong eyes aren't a problem (in rendered projects) there are quite a few ways to handle them, it happens all the time in film and tv shows. The tricky part is making it realtime ready. Once you throw that technical constraint into the mix, most of those methods go right out the window and what you're left with isn't very…
something that might help is to export your model from zbrush at a bigger size. If you're using a tiny clipping plane size it probably means your mesh is smaller than 1 unit in size. To export subtools from zbrush bigger than one unit you need to go to the 'Export' menu on the right hand side. There you'll find a slider…
