Copyrighted/Trademarked content in assets sold in 3D marketplaces
I'm sure everyone is well aware of the innumerable assets sold on various 3D marketplaces that bear brand logos, copyrighted product design, and such. How come these people who sell them don't get sued? It's not like it's hard for large companies to just contact the marketplace administration and ask for the sellers… -

Automating quad topology for dense meshes (workflow discussion)

That's probably something best done when polygon modeling your base mesh (be it with ZModeler or in an external app) IF you want this to actually folded around, double layered material like in real life. it depends on the final use really. the higher the texture resolution, the less this matters. if you dont have lods, go wild, make banafingers and curvy shapes. distortion is a topic, 3d painting and projection solves this to some extend. But as shown in my thread, squaring for the sake of square shapes and not looking… -

Thanks for the info guys. It's nice to know the design side is an upward direction. My favorite part of enviro art is the block-in and composition stage. So I'll keep the design on the side in case it pays off someday. I guess doing design work related to the architecture or layout would be more useful for an enviro person… -

without seeing maps, wires the rig and the animations, its hard to judge but from what i see, i would say around 5$ it looks really highpoly, inconsistent textures, stretching, parts with no texture/flat color at all (inside legs), i could write more, but i dont really want to bash your work here the legs and rear part… -
