I hear you mate. I have a Zbrush IMM armour brush up on my Gumroad with about 50K downloads and not too many donations. Although I did get a personal email from one of my all-time Hard Surface heroes, Furio Tedeschi, thanking me for the asset and telling me he used it on his professional concept work for the latest…
Indeed, just saw that OSX does it with DAE, of all things ! It certainly is pretty cool, but I can't even begin to imagine what would happen if an OS attempts to autoload a 2gig OBJ sculpt ... I guess it's just a matter of having a data cap - like not auto loading if a file is over 500mb for instance.
At first glance, you see 3d printer and $100. Sounds great! Except not.... This uses resin. Resin that is actually extremely toxic AND expensive. Although the printer itself may be cheap, a tub of resin can run you $500. Im not totally usre how much you can get out of that, but it's definitely way more expensive than the…
Heya Mate, I've been doing outsource since 2003, that's when I started Exis. In my experience, Don't ever bid to be competitive with india/china. Bid to live you life or run your company. India/china put out low quality work, even though there may be some talented people there. I have had Chinese/Indian companies approach…
as many tris as needed and no more than necessary for a good silhouette. Could be done with 5k or 50k depending on the look. Maybe you can post some concept art of that door?
Just finished my first low poly prop modelling assignment for class this week and thought i'd post it up. The criteria was all of them needed to be under 500 poly's and have a maximum of 128x128 Diffuse. Sketchfab links included  Shoulder Pad Sketchfab Shield SketchfabSword Sketchfab Cheers!
guess I should of named the title better, but my fault I will rename it.. Also yes this will be strictly for an animation and not for in game, so I'm still aiming for under 5000 just to keep it snappy while animating, but I've given some thought to adding character to him and i'll post some sketches soon. Thanks! I…
pretty cool looking piece man. Although 3500 polys for a small static mesh like this in a current gen environment would probably be way too much for a low poly version. Try to bake those nice details onto a version with say like, 500 - 750 or so tris and you'll be good. Or just delete unnecessary edge loops, etc. Also, on…
What platform are you developing on? how many medical conditions are you focusing on? who is the target audience? As for development budget who is paying and why? you could say $1K bottom of the road $500K for the top of the range.
