I can play a game that's easy and cool to get the experience the developer wants to give me however I don't usually get as much satisfaction from it and that need for "one more minute!" since it's usually served to me on a silver plate. Examples of games, Skyrim, Deus Ex, Modern warfare and similar. This is fine and those…
So the wood panel is something you want to sculpt (not the rest of the wall). You want to sculpt the bent corner with some detail and probably some other surface detail into the panel. but not have the ends be affected by either dynamesh or subdiv shrinking, you want the final geometry to be clean so it snaps up in engine.…
It looks like a good start, the texturing could use some work though. Your model/bake look good as far as I can tell, I only looked at the Artstation images though, not the sketchfab viewer. It would be helpful for critique if you can post wireframe renders of your models and texture flats in the thread as well. Are you…
Thanks :) gonna be putting out some articles next week and then focusing on some env art tutorials and content for a youtube channel. A side note, I already have a fairly profitable side hustle that handles my daily expenses, so 99% of whatever I make off selling tuts is going to be funneled back into growing the company,…
DUDE! I saved myself from this one!!! I was working full time and going to college full time. I was playing CS non-stop, fully addicted. I picked up Everquest and payed for 3 months. Luckily after 1 month I quit. VERY smart move. i chose CS and my life over that game. It all happened around level 8, or was it 9, or was it…

( I dunno if there's a specific mythology you want him to fit into, if so find something there, otherwise I think a nice stylized skull would fit nicely) It'd be nice to see…
I would also suggest it will depend what you're modelling in. If it's Maya/Max/XSI etc. then you'd be using sub-d I guess, and either creasing or placing bevels/edgeloops in those areas where she has the sharp lines like the nose, clavicle and shoulders. If you're working in ZBrush then it's a totally different process and…
On July 22nd, 2013 we launched a 3 week contest, the VG Remix. The Polycount Community was tasked with creating lowpoly 3D dioramas of their favorite videogames while using Sketchfab as a means to display their diorama. From there, the Polycount community voted on their favourite Top 3 entries, who will each walk away with…
I'm digging the individual assets! The gameplay shot at the top doesn't read well though. It just doesn't feel like it's moonlit. I think de-saturating the vibrant green grass and foliage textures would help pull some of the silvery blue moonlight back into the scene.
