Definatly has a bit more life to it now Johny, but as you can also see, way to much spec on the water, and now its blowing any and all detail out of it (the left, bottom part). At this stage, the metals really don't feel all that "metal" to me, and I think its mostly due to your spec, see if you can manage to get some nice… -

It's looking great man. I only have a couple of minor critiques... First, in the pose you have him in, he looks a little off-balance. Maybe put him in more of a steady stance.. more of a hero pose? And if you want to make him look a little more imposing, maybe bring the camera down just a little further towards the ground?… -

Yeah AO is not a real world thing. AO is a rendering hack we use because realistic lighting is far too expensive to render in real time. The ideal use for AO is to be used in a shader that multiplies on the ambient light as Farfarer notes. In Toolbag 3, the AO slot multiplies on the ambient (image based lighting) diffuse… -

A directional light with lots of bounces, plus volumetric fog. You'll also notice maybe half the classroom has a window. Everything to the right and behind the camera doesn't have a window to let light through. The blinds/window pieces casting shadows helps. -
"Light" tree generation solutions
Hopefully this is right place for this... So, i'd like to know what are nice vegetation/tree/plant software kits or plugins that you may recommend as "light" solutions aka model output doesn't eat much RAM etc. I know that obvious recommendations are Arbaro and NgPlant, but perhaps anything else? The blood stains are looking really good, the variation of colour depending on the surface looks about right (bright on whitish jeans, dark patches on weathered metal, etc). I don't know if its just the lighting, but in the front render the guy's right shin is looking weird, like its flat and blurred. What might look cool… -
