Welcome to Polycount :) Intersecting geometry is usually ok. Non welded geometry is ok in 99% of the game engines out there. Deleting faces not seen by the player is ok. Rather than rely on booleans or pro-booleans you should learn how to merge up different pieces of geometry with the other modeling tools you have… -

Proportion wise I see few more thing that kind of not match overall size relation : -hands too small [front view -> length] -head too small [front view -> probably neck is too long too and head is fine try to slide the head down ] -knee can be lowered even more You have to keep working on form tho. especially in side view… -

The fire rate selector and the slid are on the wrong side, but I know lots of FPSs do this sort of mirroring because they want to show the more detailed side of the gun(guns being on the right handed side of the screen). I considered this at first but then realised I would have to add a lot of extra seams to relieve the stretching. I will give it a shot though.
