Totally underwhelmed by new trailer. I was like, what happened? Really sparse and clean, chunky lopoly models, bad effects. Very Doom 3. Liked the first demo videos a whole lot better.
nice mushroom man! :) I think that it is most fair way to show the work. Look at my old thred. It is about fair/unfair show lopoly models anywhere except realtime apps http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=67184
it doesnt need to be necessarily "much more" if he can get a really good result with 12k why not leave it ? and yeah those wheels are insanely detailed for the lowpoy, better use it and bake a normal etc , just not worth the investment polywise .
I can do hard surface modeling for both game and animated film. Lopoly or highpoly displacement mapping workflow. Have a look, I am available for more freelance work. robo point below.jpgrobo point below.jpg
I think you would benefit from baking a very rough highpoly version on top of that normal map you have to balance shading errors that are noticeable on the nose and throttle, doesn't need to be superdetailled, because with that kind of polycount, any shading error due to the lowpolyness can make your model render quite…
So i'm having trouble getting my low_poly scabard looking correct. I have tried quite a few things but still the lighting is "off" to say the least. I've tried -manually setting up smoothing groups, -mirroring UV's in trouble areas to see if it is caused by normals. -Remodelling the low poly from nothing to try and get…
This here is a gun I'm working on. It's going to be a lopoly for in an FPS eventually, so this is the hipoly for the normals, of course. As the title says, it's based on the Norinco version of the AK47. The front part (starting from the grip) is almost finished, the piece below the nozzle is busting my brains... Details on…
Hey guys, opening a thread for this now, some may know it from greentooth already i was asked if i could do some characters for Sternenschweif game and this is kinda my art test Current progress: currently working myself through the lopoly and uvs to get ready to bake! Wips:
Hey so i started this to get some practice (especially texturing can't wait to get to work on this). I'm currently on high poly and i just want to make sure i haven't missed any oddities that more experienced eyes might pick up (proportions etc.. ). My knowledge of blades etc.. isn't very large so if i did a big mess up…
