Have you tried reformatting? If that doesn't work, most likely cause is your hard drive going bad from my experience (has to do with problems reading/writing windows background tasks into memory). It's also possible to be RAM/VRAM related, but typically if those parts were going bad it would just result in crashes.
Hi guys, I'm looking to contract a 3D artist to create game-ready (real-time) assets for a new Unity game currently in development. The game is a (futuristic/sci-fi themed) Factory/RPG, for PC only, top-down/isometric camera. The entire project requires roughly: * 40 sci-fi buildings (1 model each + simple animation loop)…
Hello everyone, I'm making a new piece for my portfolio and I'll be posting here to show my progress and hopefully hold myself more accountable. The concept is by Taras Kuznetsov https://www.artstation.com/artwork/bg3DVg?collection_id=702593 The goal of this project is too: - have a full character from top to bottom with…
I have got a really bad problem...After I changed all the settings, things were fine. Until I exported everything as FBX, because when I export things as .OBJs the 'unwrapping' doesn't trasfer with it the mesh information to another new scene. Certain objects were fine but when I tried to attach pieces together this is…
Could just be a bad mesh, Max is a bit fickle like that when you start importing/exporting/doing anything. Try cleaning the normals by creating a box primitve, converting it to editable mesh (NOT POLY) and then attach your sphere to it. (then delete the box in element mode. I've written a script that deals with "bad…
What about nepotism? Don't alot of people get hired because they're relations? I know a kid whose father was a FireChief and hired his son as a fire fighter....his son had a bad back and wouldn't have been hired off the street if his physical revealed his bad back. Basically, I'm saying are there examples of nepotism where…
I like your chair, its definitely looking bad ass. i'd like to see more examples of your 3D work though, and it might not be bad to give the viewer at least one big money shot of your models, along with some information. I had to dig a bit to find your work, you might want to think about putting some of it on you intro…
a corridor in the labyrinth. seems like a simple environment but i waffled on it a lot. In the end I decided to keep it simple with just a few abstract decor pieces and make everything a little off kilter to try and make being in it feel unsettling. taking some liberty and imagining it less as a dungeon meant to torture…
Finally had some time to work on this again! Mostly finished up my major forms for the scene and practice some soft material stuff. Specifically the carpet, beanbag chair, and bed! Never got to use marvelous designer before or POM shader nodes so a lot was learned with this project. still need to tweak some of the colors…
