An example of posting progress in Replies. https://polycount.com/discussion/91066/pirate-castle-udk/p1 This also happens to use trim textures, and the author shares lots of details about how things were made, could be helpful to you.
The Lair stuff and the Pirate concepts are baddass, at least to me. The 3d chars are in general not as good as the other stuff.. the Full Throttle/Rocker Dude is the best of chars by far.. just needs a bit of color tweaking and polish like Monkeyboy said.
@Zyloh: Thanks for the support! :) @Amile: Pirates of the Caribbean are indeed cool films hehe, thanks very much! Here is another update: Still need to create a material instance for the plants to get some colour variation in there! Baaack to work :D
It's because the site has detected you have bittorent open and polycount is currently working with a number of art software companies to track down pirates. So you're probably going to get busted. It's usually just a fine and probation, though
Ooooh that's a bummer. Read it'll take around 2m to break even, so the game might not be too profitable in the end, supposedly. Glad I bought a copy at $60! Gonna go shame all my friends who pirated it.
Hm... when I was around 10 years old I saw a man in the clouds. It was actually fairly detailed. It's been six years since and I can still remember. He kind of looked like an old pirate. No joke.
Hey pirat, I was hoping to see those texture sheets as well but it looks like the dropbox link is already removed. Any chance I could get my hands on them? This is such a well crafted vehicle I'm very curious
Very good as always! - How do you create the trees? Are they hand crafted? Some tips maybe? - Could you give some info on the water shader? The one you used in the tropical "pirate" scene was also very good.
lol, my guilds name is Tainted. we're epic pirate roleplaying hardcore pvp'ers. you'll have to let me know which server polycount is on, i want to stomp you'z all! WAAAAGH!!!!! ...oops, wrong lore :P
ANY Danny Elfman is really good for this - especially "The Nightmare Before Christmas" soundtrack. I'm diggin' Hanz Zimmer and Harry Gregson Williams ATM, specifically "Pirates of the Carribean", "The Rock" and "Broken Arrow" by the former and "MGS2" and "Chronicles of Narnia" by the latter.
