Email checking shouldn't require any router rules unless your router defaults to "block all except 80". Since default settings are usually designed to work for people who have no clue that shouldn't be the case. I've had such a situation but that was when I was on a university network.
Another thing to add is default settings between two of the same monitor might not produce the same image. I bought two monitors, and with default factory settings, one's a little warmer, and less contrasted. My calibrator sorted them both to look exactly the same.
Interesting. By default for Maya, "Smooth Mesh" is on by default. I have never turned it off. Is there a particular reason you turn it off? Also any particular reason you tun on "Tangents and Binormals"? I'm not exactly sure as to what the latter does. Thanks for replying. :poly142:
That's the default behavior, I'm afraid. You can do what pxgeek suggested or try if Polydraw > Branches gives you something useful. Might be quicker to create, but requires cleanup (you could extract on of the loops per branch or try if you can modify it to save the temporal splines it creates).
When adding/removing a "default plain normal map" into the normal slot, you can clearly see that the preview changes somehow https://images-ext-2.discordapp.net/external/dyW61KpBMqehHwATbxl8ZCFDcxPyuNaUygUZtv7_NhY/https/i.gyazo.com/541f505c5bdec167dfa94c012f2dc579.mp4 its like the default normal map has still some values…

Does anyone know Valve's stand on covering a hero's face that isn't usually covered by default (like adding a mask, veil, kerchief etc)? I'm working on a Medusa headpiece, and she has a tattered default veil... If I wanted to cover or partially cover her face, is that a no-no? Cheers.
i have a pencil model unwrapped and partially painted in photoshop. how can use the mix of both vray default mats + my own painted texture? i want the texture just to be applied to the tip of the pencil, whereas the rest of the pencil uses the default vray diffuse color.
I'm having problems getting user tweakable variables to show up in maya with default values set - colors, floats, bools, all are defaulting to 0. I've reread over my code and everything seems set up correctly - another set of eyes on it would be wonderful. lcShader.cgfx
AO is part of pretty much every asset, sure i would use it do not forget that the AO you get by default from your bake is way too strong for realistic AO out of the box, implying you use default settings from xnormal etc
