Hi guys, I recently got into sculpting and after a bit of messing around with all the buttons and stuff I decided to try and model Batman. I was wondering if any of you could give me some feedback on the sculpt like how I can improve it etc. Thanks in advance! Mad.
Indeed the leg are pretty thin. I struggled a bit before making the decision to follow the concept. Since it is the kind of stylized proportion we could find on cartoon like batman, and superman (the 90's). I stopped when I find it was nicely balanced. Here, the bake are nice and clean, it's time for color, before…
Try looking at the shapes of things that fly or float right now, it looks kind of heavy and very worm-like. Try to play with the proportions a bit to make him look lighter without having the dripping slime (it makes him look heavy) Or use the cape to fly like batman (or dracula)! (split the cape in two and morph the slime…
Bionic Commando had a story? I just hope it's fun, the design of the character is kind of lame, is he really going to go all batman, swinging around with no armor or protective gear on? I just hope they let you use the hook to hit things and do all kinds of cool shit like you could in the NES version. Alex
@Mitchellangelo Holy Necro Batman! This is an old test, they don't use this concept anymore. It took me about a month to do, back then they had deadlines, I believe. If you're also curious this also wasn't the art test that got me the internship, I did one for the current concept back in spring of 2014.
Adding my Showdown Contest entry design in here for safekeeping. I plan on getting back to this one day. I really thought I had something cool here. Almost forgot, this is Leonardo Da Vinci with a superhero flair, with his flying machine incorporated into a more compact, Batman-like design.
This scene reminds me of Batman arkham games! Though I think you should make the bricks better. It feels like the bricks are just slapped on. I checked out your portfolio and I think you should have bigger and some more pictures who show throughout the whole scene!
Well, is it meant to be a natural smile or a something more like the original batman film with Jack Nicholson? if it's the latter (i didn't read the comics) then your current smile works better, but if it's meant to be a more natural smile (as-in he's in control of it) then yeah Jeremy's paint over is more fitting :)…
Could you expect any less, from the main writer behind the 90's Batman Cartoons, as well as Justice League? They guy does excellent stuff. Oh and here;s a recap of season one, set to Weird Al Yankovick's version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". http://www.bobville.com/lost.html Enjoy! Scott
OFF New Batman movie needs Catwoman. I know it's hard to top Michelle Pfeiffer and that outfit, but if anyone can do it, it's Nolan. ON As far as I know it's not a remake, but more like a sequel to the original tale, which is why Alice is older in this one. So Burton has a completely new story here.
