Been a bit busy today, but I'm on it now lol. Anyway, about this "user view", maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but I dont even have a "user view" mode. All I have are the standard orthographic, side, front, top etc', and perspective. Is this something thats only in Max 2012? If so, I have 2011, so its not an option… -

You paint a mask that blends between two texture sets, one set for the regular wall and another set for the damaged wall. The material controls how the blends occur. Often people use vertex color as the mask, since it's easy to use and efficient in-game. -

From the looks of it, it seems more like a road tunnel with the drains and the guiding lights and all. I think its not that grungy with just the lights and all, you could soften up the bump and scratches a bit. As for the wall panels, why not try some variations of them. Some you can add on facade details like large vents… -

Yeah, actually it works in Max too with two sided material. Thanks for pointing it out for me. I just got lost in those AO materials and channels shuffles. In Max it's just Utility node that gives you world normal colors initially then Matte material instead of AO one where you could input opacity alphas and finally same… -

i remember that game... rmit? (it's chris :P) Flash site was loading pretty slow and while it looks nice it distracts from the actual work imo. Alot of sections too, i'd reccomend trimming it down to a 2d section (throw the more finished sketches and concepts in there), then do a game art section. Might be an idea to pick… -
