Hey there, I am currently working on my final year uni assignment and am in pre-production trying to figure out the art style of the project. (My Piece) The art style is heavily inspired by World Of Warcraft and would love to get some feedback as to what I could change to either make the model more appealing or fit this…
i was lookin through the quake3 model files and as impressed as i was at all the cool models that are there, i didnt find two that i thought might make good ones. the first one is Dante from Devil May Cry. the second is Arthas from Warcraft 3 if anyone think that these are good ideas, please model them. Hi, I have been working on some tiling textures based on Halo and World of Warcraft for a course I am on. This will be then moving into a full scene for whichever style I choose. below are my current Renders of the textures from UE4 which were made using 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop and 3D Coat. Any critique and feedback…
Hello! I started modeling an orc based on world of warcraft style and I'm having a problem modeling the head because I have never modeled a head before. this is what I have so I need an idea of how am I supposed to model the head? I tried to start off a plane and then dividing it to make the eyes / nose but its not really…
I am looking for a 3D Artist/Animator job and thouht if it was a good idea to make portfolio peices that is tailored to the company that your applying to. For instance, if you were espeically interested in getting a job at a certain company like blizzerd, you could make World of Warcraft characters. Or Star Wars characters…
I hate to admit it but I played World of Warcraft for awhile some (3) years ago. This is pretty clearly a higher resolution version of stormwind. If your intention was to recreate it your doing a good job. Interesting to see what SW would look like in Unreal. I wish I could hand paint like that.
Looking pretty good! I think you could stand to bring in a little more color on your textures to really breathe some life into them. World of warcraft tends to use a lot of Hue shifts when they define cavities. You could also try to bake in some color/gradient into the vertices also! Good luck!
Good stuff. It's a fun game, without all the frills of World of Warcraft. I had a blast playing with Geezus and Fuse. We killed some ice giant guy whose name slips my mind. Or rather, they did, while I gave him a series of paper cuts with my cardboard sword. Good times.
That looks great HntrLuc! It'd definitely fit into world of warcraft. The issue I have with it, similar to what others have said is that it is too busy and has no focus. I find this a problem with most of the armor sets in wow, so that helps it fit in even more ;) A way to help might be to make the grey trim on the arms…
yep, bad idea The warcraft system of Horde and Alliance having a different language ( but still being able to gesticulate at each other ) but of course that language is actually English on both sides is simple but works a treat. I don't think we need to make mmorpgs even more of a life/time sucker now do we?
