Hi friends, I have a question, in Maya there are a special option in OpenSubdiv controls named UV boundary smoothing how i can to select the "preserve Edges" like a python command to make a transfer attribute for some objects. if anybody could help me thank you so much.cheers
So I was practicing making Normal Maps, and I made a high-res cube model in Z-brush. I then brought the cube into Maya and used the Transfer Maps tool. After I was done, this was the result: So I was wondering why the poly lines are showing up om the cube.
If you have two subtools overlapping one another is there a way to make one apply a mask at the areas where they intersect? Sort of like a boolean operation but instead of subtracting/adding geometry it subtracts/adds masks. A way to transfer masks between two objects with similar shapes would be useful too.
Hey guys! I'm working in maya a lot larely and was wondering which rendering software/plug-in should use. If I learn all about mental ray will some of it will be transferable to other techniques? Right now I'm trying to render a car and I'm a bit confused with all the different options.
hi. i'm transfering the hipoly model onto a lowpoly mesh. i've divided the chest area, as shown on the picture, not to get a square feeling of the edge. as i dont have much experience in animating lowpoly meshes i dont know if that solution is acceptable. please let me know what You think.
In Blender it could be curve or bend modifier to bend the thing around barrel, then shrinkwrap modifier to lay /project bottom vertexes perfectly on the barrel surface and data transfer modifier in case you need to project / grab UV from the barrel to the thing .
Both Visa and Mastercard have stopped allowing the transfer of funds to wikileaks. Read about it here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/blog/2010/dec/07/wikileaks-us-embassy-cables-live-updates Fuck free speech and all that shit.
THANKS DUXUN! I'll be working on sculpting my high poly rocks tonight so I can follow this. I was also thinking of using xnormals to transfer the maps, but I'll do both and see what I understand the easiest. :D
I'm thinking ill just transfer files over to the desktop, although it would be nice to do all of the same stuff on a laptop I'm not willing to spend that much more, because for the offset price I could just rebuild my desktop.
No - at least this was never possible. You have to buy in the region you plan to use the license in. AFAIK it even goes that far, that you have to ask them to transfer the license , if you are moving to a different continent/region. But not sure how this is handled in practice
