It will be great for prototyping scale, and arm reach..it will be most useful when Unreal and Unity let you do this with BSP or something similar..its not enough to eyeball things(at least it is annoying to adjust)...best to get the feel of the scene in HMD
Hey Lincoln, what engine and platforms are you guys developing for. Amazing models for Unity based iphone 3GS games are going to require a different skill set than amazing models for an Unreal 4 based PC game.
hello A progress on my gun I make the baking but some little issue remains and I start the texure ,I am happy with the wood and the metal viewed in unity it realy need a secular color map in it shader presets
Thanks MoP. It's Unity, specifically. 1) So I would need a special bone, or a triangle for a tag to attach the weapons to? Also, would the weapon model need to have the place where it would be held be at 0,0,0 on the coordinate plane?
Also might I add a way to make some money not necessarily through freelance. I know some people on PC do this stuff full-time: -Unity Asset Store -Dota 2 Workshop -TF2 Workshop
Substance and toolbag use different HDR Reflection spheres. Look into that if you need them to look EXACTLY the same. Also, they are using different codebases for their renderer. It's like Unity vs Unreal. Why is their rust ALL across the blade?
I started to work on a little texture set, which I maybe want to sell through Unity Asset Store, we'll see. Here's one of those textures I'm currenty working on. I'd be thankful for some feedback.
SP Beta 12.1 Main Changes* Added: Unity 5 Export Preset * Fixed: PBR Shader, rendering quality should improve a lot * Fixed: Focus function is broken and meshes are cropped by default
Recently made this guy for a freelance job, got 2 more to make for the same job, so expect to see them soon. Posted with permission of course.. Unity Player: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14324914/Freelance/Robert/Robert.html
Gamedev.net used to be good, but I think its gone downhill now. Tigsource has some good info. Another thing to try is to the respective language or engine to which you are programing. Unity udk, java, c# or whatever.
