Well, I had to manually remove the points (they were in clusters, it was odd). But here is the outcome (after a little sculpting of course). I'm making some instructional videos for fishing techniques :P I think I'm going to set it all up in UDK and make it somewhat interactive. We will see how crazy I get!
Thanks Wllasaurus, the time slider works alright. But the script thing is beyond me and I do not know how to replicate that at work for the real rig. But no worries, I think I found out the interactive way which works in the view port. 2 words IK. I use bone and IK to replace the lookat constraint.
Max has a utility called Rescale World Units, but rigs don't respond well to it. Are you using the viewport clipping planes, yellow triangles on the side? Or are you using a Camera's clipping planes? The latter might offer more control, though you have to sacrifice some ease of interaction using a Camera instead of…
well i think it should be up to the gamer. seems more and more some devs want to force us to do it their way even if we don't like it. I personally would love to play a game that only has a couple of cut scenes and quicksave. i don't like t feel that I am in an interactive movie
Thomasp: Yes, I do. Thankfully since the screen is so large, I can afford to scoot the tablet a bit far away from the screen to avoid interference. I had the same problem here at home as well with my 2 19" hitachi CRT's before upgrading to the Dell. LCD's produce little/no magnetic field.
NSFW is Internet slang that means "not safe for work". Another similar acronym is NWS which stands for "not work safe". It is typically used on interactive discussion areas to mark URLs that may be pornographic or shocking, so that the reader can avoid content that may be objectionable to coworkers or put their job at risk…
the "secret" is not the tool, but knowing how materials work and react to the world interactions and beeing able to show them thru "marks" that make sense to our brain. But be mindfull that stuff that is usually over-detailed doesnt mean it is realistic. The best way to achieve this is to study real world references and…
Hi, I'm doing a dynamic hair system through XGen Interactive Grooming method. So far working fine, but I wnated to assign different texture to the hairs (which are hair cards) if possible without having to construct different Descriptions. Notice: it's for assigning different texture sets, not one texture to put different…
I created a flame using maya fluids. I'd like to make it behave as a light source, so that it could influence the surrounding objects. Is there any way to achieve that? I remember watching a while back a video from Disney animation called "Interactive Lighting of Effects Using Point Clouds in "Bolt". It showed a way of…
If you're willing to break your texel density rule why bother setting it? However. Doubling and halving texture size doesn't interfere with the benefits of having a consistent texel density. Your texture still covers the same physical area and thus the textures can be swapped and shared freely across assets without…
