Hi,
I'm doing a dynamic hair system through XGen Interactive Grooming method. 
So far working fine, but I wnated to assign different texture to the hairs (which are hair cards)
if possible without having to construct different Descriptions.
Notice: it's for assigning different texture sets, not one texture to put different colors to the hairs!
Does sdy know an answer 4 that please?

    i don't know if i understand that correctly but if you only want some variation in the color of the hair and you are going to render in arnold you can use the aiColorJitter node: https://docs.arnoldrenderer.com/display/A5AFMUG/Color+Jitter
    if you really want a texture for each hair i think you can do it with this node too. Some time ago i was testing things with that node and you can do really cool things like connecting the aiColorJitter to the offset attribute of place2dTexture of your image so each object gets different parts of the same texture
